The location of the conference will be on the Harbour waterfront at Waters Edge Venue, perched on Pier 1 almost under the Sydney Habour Bridge, offering some of the most stunning vistas imaginable.
Whilst there is no accommodation at the venue itself, there are a series of hotels and other forms of accommodation nearby within walking distance or short public transport. For more information on the venue: Waters Edge. Click here for more information about accommodation.
Reaching the venue from your hotel
For people staying in the city centre, please note that many buses travel to Circular Quay such as bus numbers 422, 426, 428, 470, 440, 428, and 431. These buses travel down George St and turn onto Bridge St (near Circular Quay) where you should disembark. It is a scenic 10-15 minute walk from here to the conference venue.
When returning, please note that many buses will depart from Alfred St (Circular Quay) and may take a slightly different route back through the city on one of the streets such as Castlereagh St or Elizabeth St which are parrallel to George St.
Bus route maps may be found here by selecting the bus route number from the scroll-down menu.
From Monday to Friday, 7am-7pm, buses are PREPAY ONLY which means you must buy a ticket before boarding the bus. Please also note that tickets must be validated using the machines on board buses. Tickets may be bought from most conveniece stores (for example, 7-Eleven) or from ticket offices at Central Station. You may want to purchase a "10-journey MyBus 1 ticket" for $16 allowing you 10 single journeys that take-in no more than 2 "sections". This ticket is fine if you are traveling from Central (or from stops thereafter) to Circular Quay (this trip is only 2 sections). However, for longer trips please click here for more information on bus tickets and how to determine which ticket you need to buy.
A much faster way to travel is by train on the city cricle loop. Frequent trains run on a loop from Central - Town Hall - Wynyard - Circular Quay - St James - Museum - Central. Trains run in the other direction also. The Journey time is less than 10 minutes from Central to Circular Quay. More information can be found here. Tickets must be bought at the station before boarding the train. You may wish to buy a weekly ticket.
There is metered parking on Hickson St infront of the venue. Alternatively there is a parking station closeby, click here for more information.
